The Revcast idea was born when two business leaders with hands-on experience building and managing revenue plans got so frustrated by the current way of doing things, that they thought there had to be a better way.
Pendo Co-Founder Eric Boduch was in charge of GTM for a new product and was spending far too much valuable time and energy building and managing spreadsheets to represent his team's growth plans. While constantly adjusting sales team hiring, capacity, ramp times, and forecasts, he started to get an idea for a more agile, collaborative solution.
At the same time, Jeff Serlin was running RevOps for Pendo after a long career of standing up revenue operations teams at Intercom, Marketo, Campaign Monitor, and more. Jeff, very familiar with the pain and inefficiencies of using spreadsheets for planning, quickly affirmed Eric’s frustration.
The two began to see the clear market opportunity for a RevOps solution that is purpose built to help improve revenue team planning and alignment, revenue predictability, risk and opportunity identification, and team agility. Revcast is the first company to come out of startup studio 24 and Up, which provides development support, funding, and advisory to very early-stage companies.
Revcast’s robust beta program helped to further refine the product as it entered the market, and Jeff Serlin came on board as our Chief Strategist. After closing an initial $3M seed round, we expanded our team across product, marketing, sales, and engineering. Today, Revcast is here to help our customers succeed in their revenue plans and adapt to this ever-changing world faster and with more agility.
